The Lodge at St. Edward State Park sits amid old-growth forest on the shores of Lake Washington, and on their wedding day, the whole setting felt as if it had been waiting for exactly this kind of love story.
Jessica and Eumir had a tenderness between them that was present in every single moment of the day. The kind of couple where the emotion doesn’t arrive on cue, it just lives there, close to the surface, ready to show itself whenever they look at each other. That’s what I was there to catch, and that’s exactly what happened.
This venue has a particular quality. The stone walls hold a quiet history, the forest surrounds everything with a stillness that slows the day down in the best possible way, and the light that filters through the trees does things that no studio could replicate. This one had all of that.
